Jenn Nawada

As the Landscape Contractor for This Old House and Ask This Old House, Jenn Nawada shares creative, practical landscaping solutions with viewers across the country – helping them make their outdoor spaces more beautiful, functional, and sustainable.

Jenn has worked in the landscape design and construction field since 2001 and founded Nawada Landscape Design, Inc. seventeen years ago. Specializing in residential projects, she designs and installs landscapes that are sophisticated, stylish, and environmentally responsible. Her work helps clients discover the full potential of their properties, fostering stronger healthier connections between people and the natural world. Collaborating with some of Boston’s top professional tradespeople, Jenn manages and executes both large and midsize landscape projects from concept to completion

Jenn first joined This Old House in 2010 as the Landscape Designer for the Auburndale project, where she worked alongside Roger Cook to transform the front yard into a welcoming garden. She became a regular on Ask This Old House in 2015 and was named the official Landscape Contractor for This Old House in January 202

One of the UK’s most celebrated garden designers, Jo is known for creating beautifully layered, sustainable gardens that feel timeless, romantic, and deeply connected to their surroundings. Her work is guided by what she calls a “gentle intervention,” allowing plants, space, and atmosphere to lead the design rather than overpower it. Renowned for her painterly planting style and masterful use of roses, Jo designs gardens that evoke emotion, balance, and a sense of harmony.

A multi-gold medal winner at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show and author of The New Romantic Garden and The Gardener’s Palette, Jo brings a thoughtful, art-driven approach to landscape design that inspires gardeners and designers around the world. Her presentation offers a rare opportunity to hear from one of today’s most influential voices in garden design and to explore how planting can shape not just a garden, but how we feel within it.
